ODOU wooden windows (single windows with draught strips) are the single-sashed windows, made of solid timber, with draught seal. Their size is 83×57 mm (sash and frame). The product has double glazing; it is equipped with accessories. Along the contour of the sash there is a draught strip (heat insulation). The design of the window provides for installation of a second draught strip. Draught seal can be also applied along the contour of the frame. Using this technology, heat-insulation of windows allows them to save heat in the rooms, and to rise to the level of plastic double-glazed windows in terms of thermal insulation. If you increase the size of glass, the windows will give more light in the room. One of the features of these windows is their economic feasibility. They are cheaper than the separate universal windows (ORU) and the twin heat-insulated windows (OSU), but their quality is at the same level. Depending on the type of glazing, the heat-transfer coefficient varies from 0.42 to 0.62 m2 °C/W.
